Is this really where we want a
cell tower?
Please help us say NO to the Connecticut
Siting Council!
We are not opposed to the conveniences of modern technology. However, we have a duty to safeguard our natural heritage for future generations.
The proposed tower site on Rabbit Hill Road is:
- One of the most spectacular views in Litchfield, the subject of numerous paintings, and photographs
- Designated a scenic area by both Washington and Warren
- An environmentally sensitive gateway to the Macricostas Preserve, with migratory bird paths, stopovers and habitats of state listed species
- On land protected by the Farmland Preservation Program (and our taxpayer dollars) from commercial use
- Not designed to provide cell phone service for our towns, but rather to serve the Route 202 corridor
- Violates the Planning and Zoning regulations of our towns
- Could be dangerous to human health
